A trusted name in music education

Tatyana Dimovski

Piano

My name is Tatyana Dimovski. I am originally from Skopje, Macedonia (Southeastern Europe), and I now live in Streamwood with my family. I am an experienced pianist and educator with over 20 years of teaching and performance experience in both classical and popular music. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and Conducting, as well as a Master’s degree in Music History. As a young piano prodigy, I was invited to study in Moscow, Russia, where I trained with some of the most respected piano educators. There, I developed a strong technical and artistic foundation, which I later enriched by incorporating effective Western teaching approaches. Over the years, I have developed my own teaching method that combines discipline, creativity, and enjoyment, helping students achieve excellent results in a supportive and engaging musical environment. My teaching philosophy is to nurture each student’s individual musical voice while building strong technical and theory skills that will bring not only a lifelong love of music but also a development in areas such as focus, discipline, and math, even if the students do not plan to pursue piano playing or music professionally. My areas of strength include music theory, solfeggio, piano technique, and performance. My experience with music is broad and extensive. While in Macedonia, I was a well known pop artist. I worked as a music teacher in both elementary and high schools, as well as a conductor for the choir of the Macedonian Opera. In the United States, I have worked for several schools and offered private piano and voice lessons, and some of my former students are now professors with degrees in music. Most of my teaching now is done through the Bloomingdale School of Music. In my free time, I enjoy recording my original music in our recording studio. I have released three vocal albums and one instrumental piano album. I am also very passionate about animal rescue. Together with my family, I have saved and rehomed more than 60 street dogs from Macedonia and the United States. We have three wonderful dogs now that make our lives very happy.
